KYOKUSHIN KAN
Tamashii is part of Kyokushin-kan International Organization. In our dojos, we practice Kyokushin Karate, a contact style of Karate where you try to recreate hand-to-hand combat as realistically as possible.
We use hand, elbows, knees and feet techniques to try to knockout the opponent as quick as possible.
OUR INSTRUCTORS
Shihan Mauricio Carranza
He is the Coordinator for Latin America of the International Kyokushin-Kan Organization and has been part of that organization for 15 years. He holds a fifth dan black belt and has over 30 years of continuous practice in Kyokushin Karate.
Sensei Jessie León
He is an 18-year-old young fighter with a third-degree black belt. He has been a part of Tamashii since he was 3 years old, has competed in tournaments in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Japan, and has participated in instructor seminars in Tokyo with Kaicho Royama. He is also the top student at his school.
Senpai Marcelo Vargas
An outstanding martial artist, exemplary family man, and successful entrepreneur, Senpai Marcelo Vargas is a Nidan black instructor. Having attended several instructor seminars, one of which was conducted by Kaicho Royama, he has an exceptional gift for detecting details and a great ability to teach. His love for kata and kumite makes him a well-rounded and outstanding Karateka.
Sensei Vico Pacheco
One of our most talented Costa Rican Kyokushin Kan instructors. He holds a 2nd dan black belt with over 40 years of karate experience.
Sensei Fabio Rosch
With nearly two decades of unwavering dedication, our Sensei Fabio Rosch is about to achieve the rank of third-degree black belt. He has extensive knowledge and experience in combat, which he generously shares with his peers.
Sensei Julio del Valle
A third degree black belt sensei, has decades of experience in the practice of Karate and an admirable competition record at the international level. He has left an indelible mark on the national and international martial arts scene.
Sensei Felipe Segares
He is soon to graduate as a third-degree black belt, he was one of Tamashii’s first students at the age of 3. He has participated in countless international seminars and has extensive technical experience. Today, he is an example of dedication and excellence as a medical student.
